About Independent Publishing Network

The Independent Publishing Network was established in October 2012. Our Network enables authors in the UK and Ireland to have their books published and sell them worldwide. By becoming a member, you will be able to obtain ISBN numbers from us and get your books registered on the Nielsen book database. “Independent Publishing Network” will be listed as the publisher in the major book databases.

The Independent Publishing Network has been operating since 2012 and has helped our members publish over 8,000 books within the UK and Ireland. 

HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER OF OUR NETWORK:

We help authors in the UK publish and sell their own books. If you become a member of our network, we can provide ISBN Numbers, barcode images, and/or registration on the Nielsen database.

To join our network and get an ISBN number, all you need to do is:

  1. Go to our Become a Member page and select the quantity of ISBN numbers you need, then proceed to the checkout page to make payment.
  2. Receive your ISBN Number and registration instructions by email. These will be sent to you straight away (if you don’t receive them, please check your junk folder). If you purchased barcode images, too, these will be sent to you by email at the same time (note: e-books don’t need barcode images).
  3. Attach the ISBN Barcode to your book – Either insert the barcode image into your cover design before publication/printing or (if your book has already been printed) get the barcode printed onto adhesive labels and attach them to the back cover of your book.
  4. Register your ISBN number – We will send you an email requesting the information that we need about your publication. When we receive your response, we will register your book details on Nielsen’s database.
